STITCHBUSINESS is a leading, respected and dynamic independent stitch school based in Durham City. We offer a range of creative courses in design and art textiles, from levels 1-3 certificate and diploma courses, to our bespoke, specialist masterclass.

Established in 2006, and accredited by City & Guilds, STITCHBUSINESS is at the forefront of providing an alternative to college-based learning. Whether local, to Durham, in other regions of the UK, or overseas, students have the option of studying with us on site, or as a distance learner. With the launch of our unique ecampus, students can interact socially online - this exciting addition to STITCHBUSINESS will take learning to a new, and more personal level, and bring all of our students across the globe closer together.

STITCHBUSINESS classes are run from our inspiring art studios in Fowlers Yard – an accessible creative artist's community in the heart of Durham City. Our certificated courses are delivered by renowned, professional and experienced tutors Julia Triston and Tracy A Franklin. Both well-respected, qualified tutors have an excellent range of contemporary and traditional art, design and stitch skills between them, and many years of teaching experience.
