STITCHBUSINESS was established in 2006 by Julia Triston and Tracy A Franklin, and quickly became a leading and respected international stitch school offering seven City & Guilds creative courses and a bespoke masterclass in design and stitch.

After fourteen academic years of running STITCHBUSINESS as a partnership, Julia and Tracy are now embarking on individual projects and continuing to develop their own practices in the textile world. STITCHBUSINESS, therefore, will not be running a new programme of courses in the near future, but some longer-term ideas are in the pipeline, so please watch this space for details.

A personal note from Julia and Tracy:

We would like to say a massive thank you to all the students who chose to study at STITCHBUSINESS. Hundreds of learners of different ages, abilities and cultural and ethnic backgrounds engaged with our experience as tutors and with the ethos of our small centre. Students came to study from the opposite ends of the British Isles (Isle of Wight and The Shetlands), and the other side of the world (including Canada, Australia, New Zealand and Pakistan). Many of our students gained multiple qualifications through our Centre, and some have gone on to win national awards for their embroidered textiles. We wish all of you the very best, and extend our heartfelt thanks to you all for helping to make STITCHBUSINESS such a success.

With fondest wishes
